Worth knowing
- The Poe street festival is at Lexington Market, not the Poe House on Amity Street; the Poe House is part of the festival as a ticketed tour.
- The Fun Festival's own night market page still says October 10th. That was last year: this year the market is Friday 2 October, 5 to 9pm.
- Saturday's first set at the Fun Festival is 11:30am, not the 11 some listings give.
- Saturday night is the busiest downtown: the Smashing Pumpkins at CFG Bank Arena, Chelsea Handler at the Lyric, the Poe ballet at the Hippodrome and Outlander at the Meyerhoff. The arena is cashless and clear bags only.
- The BSO's Saturday performance of its opener is at Strathmore, outside Baltimore. Here it is Friday at 8 and Sunday at 3. Outlander in Concert at the Meyerhoff is a touring production, not the BSO.
- Sunday brings the festival's last day and a Ravens crowd at once: the Light RailLink and the free Circulator beat looking for a space.
- Not on this weekend: BIG Time skips 3 October, and the Cylburn mansion opens on the second weekend of the month, the 10th.
Out every Thursday for the weekend ahead; Monday to Thursday is the Sunday digest. Everything on the site with a date on it is on the city’s events page.
