How something gets on this site
A place is read against what the venue itself publishes: its own site, its own booking page, its own posted hours. The date of that reading goes on the listing. When the venue publishes nothing, the listing says that instead of guessing, which is why 109 of the 146 places here have no access information on them: not because nobody looked, but because there was nothing published to find.
Nothing here is scraped from another guide, and a post that mentions a place is treated as a lead rather than as a fact. That distinction has already earned its keep: one venue recommended in a 2022 post turned out to have closed in 2023, which the venue’s own pages said and the post did not.

Who is behind it
City Emprise LLC is a Maryland company, registered in September 2026 and based in Baltimore. It is early, and it is being built in the open by one person here. There is no investor, no content farm and no syndication deal behind it.
The name comes from an old word for a shared undertaking. Spenser used it for people setting out together with each one minding the others’ safety, which is closer to what going out with your friends actually is than any of the words we use now.
