The 1903 bar room of the old Hotel Belvedere, which ran as a speakeasy through Prohibition; the National Trust tells the story of the glass-eyed owls that signaled when the liquor had arrived. The hotel is condos now, but the bar still serves brick-oven pizza and cocktails under the owls, to 11pm or midnight late-week. A destination room, not a neighborhood tap.
