The basement bar of The William Fell, the hotel across from the Broadway Pier that was the Admiral Fell Inn, and an easy one to walk straight past. The hotel sums it up in a single line, a classic cocktail in its basement speakeasy. Look for a hanging sign that reads 'As low as you can go' over a flight of stairs, and take them down.

- The hours, and which nights it opens to the public rather than to a private party. Drink prices, the age policy, and whether there is a step-free way in. An account of the bar's that stopped posting in early 2024 called it the Anchor Tavern, open nightly from 5pm; we have not taken that as current.
