- Where
- Union Collective, 1700 W 41st St · Hampden
Oysters from five farms (South Bay Shellfish, Annapolis Oyster Co., Steamboat Wharf, Johnson Bay and True Chesapeake), with King Cole's opening DJ set and yacht rock from Afternoon Delight. $10 ahead, $12 at the door, which covers entry, a donation and a prize while supplies last; food and drink are pay as you go. Baltimore's Oyster Eating Contest starts at 4:30: the fastest through 24 oysters and a can of Skipjack Pilsner takes the OyFest belt, $50 to enter with admission. A portion goes to the Oyster Recovery Partnership, which takes the shells on your way out. The festival's own site says 12 to 5; the brewery's calendar has it to 9.
