The Baltimore Inner Harbor at sunsetDeparts Middle Branch Park
The harbor, until we photograph this one ourselves

The city runs canoe and kayak programmes off the Middle Branch, which is the quieter arm of the harbor below the Hanover Street bridge and a completely different piece of water from the Inner Harbor. You can join a programme or put your own boat in. It is the one stretch of Baltimore water this guide could point you at where the view is the city from underneath rather than the city from the promenade.

Hours
By the programme rather than by posted hours; the park itself is open daily

Verified
Verified Sep 20, 2026 against The city's own Middle Branch Park page for the address and for the canoe and kayak programmes; the Baltimore Blueway paddle rentals page for Rec and Parks running guided tours here. Facts can drift; if something here is wrong, tell us and we’ll fix it. How we check.
Not yet confirmed
Days, times, prices and how to register. The city's page says the programmes exist and the Rowing and Water Resource Center runs them, and publishes none of the detail, so ring before traveling. Times quoted elsewhere online do not appear on any city page.
