The dragon-shaped pedal boats and the little solar-charged electric pirate ships tied up between the Historic Ships, run by the Living Classrooms Foundation as a youth job-training operation. A Chessie takes four people for $25 for half an hour; an electric boat takes six for $40. Every passenger wears a life vest and children under two or under 35 pounds are not allowed aboard. It is the cheapest way to actually get on the water with a group, and it is over by late November.
