A Sunday in the orchard hills past Ellicott City: Gaver's Fall Fun Fest with hayrides, pumpkin picking, the farm market and food stands running all day. Admission is $14 for a single day on the exact date picked, kids under 2 free, with pick-your-own apple bags and gem mining as add-ons. The farm warns that October weekends are its peak and when online tickets sell out there are none at the gate, so book before driving. Open daily through Nov 1.
